A long-time customer, the Michigan State University Museum always liked working with ARGUS. However, when SydneyPLUS and its IM technology was brought into the picture last year, they were very excited by the possibilities that the development of a new ARGUS.net could bring. In anticipation, staff immediately applied for a technology grant to acquire it.
The wait was not long. Earlier this year, Candyce McDonald, Sales Account Manager and Teresa Ridgeway, ARGUS Consultant, worked closely with museum staff to understand, develop and present a customized demonstration of the how the new ARGUS.net can address the specific collection management and portal needs of the museum. Web capabilities that could put any part of the museum collection rapidly online. ARGUS technology provided security controlled access to the museum’s collection online through its seamless integration between the backend web catalog and its easy to use public facing portal.
Vendor hosted solution that saves client’s more money. Eliminating the need for local server hardware and support personnel the system still delivered the same reliable performance as a locally hosted system.
